خلاصه فیلم: فیلم شیوع درباره دنیایی است که ویروس کشنده آنفولانزا آن را فراگرفته و در حال نابودی آن است. مردم در این دنیا درمانده هستند و به هیچکس هم اعتماد نمی کنند چراکه امکان آلوده شدن و سپس مرگ وجود دارد!.
در این وضعیت پزشکان و دانشمندان به دنبال یافتن درمانی برای این ویروس هستند اما بزرگترین مشکل آنها نه یافتن درمان ، بلکه ترسی و جنونی است که برمردم حاکم شده است…
